Kia Ora — I’m Waine, the owner of Ōkiwi Home Repairs & Maintenance. I’ve spent more than 30 years working in the building and construction industry, specialising in cottage style building and high quality finishing work. Over the years I’ve learned that the small details matter just as much as the big ones - and that good craftsmanship is something you can see and feel every time you walk into a room.

I’ve built my career on doing things properly, communicating clearly, and taking pride in every job, whether it’s fixing a sticking door or building a new fence. Quality finishing has always been my strength, and I bring that same level of care to every task I take on.

Meet Waine

With decades of hands on experience, I’ve developed a strong understanding of how homes age, what causes wear and tear, and how to keep a property looking great year round. Preventative maintenance is a big part of what I do — spotting issues early, fixing the small things before they become big problems, and helping homeowners stay ahead of the curve.

I’m also experienced in preparing homes for sale. I know what buyers look for, and I know what shows up on builders reports. I can help tidy up the details, address the common red flags, and present your home in its best possible condition.

Experience You Can Trust

I’m an Eastbourne local who cares deeply about this community. This is where I live, where I work, and where I want to make a positive difference. When you hire me, you’re getting someone who understands the unique challenges of coastal homes — from salt air to weather exposure — and someone who genuinely wants to help his neighbours keep their homes in top shape.

This is a whānau company and we love Eastbourne. We want to take care of your home and family the same way we take care of ours.
